The "Edit Menu" consists of the functions that are related the text in the document. In addition, when the editing area didn't not contain any text, some of the functions are disabled (Grey items in Fig.1), but as soon as you typed a character into the editing area, all the functions will be enabled again (Fig.2).
Undo (Ctrl + Z)
This command will let the user
to undo any previous unwanted changes.
Cut (Ctrl + X)
This command will let the user
to cut words, phrases and characters into the clipboard for later use. (This
command will be disabled when no text is selected.)
Copy (Ctrl + C)
This command will let the user
to copy words, phrases and characters into the clipboard for later use. (This
command will be disabled when no text is selected.)
Paste (Ctrl + V)
This command will let user to
paste any words, phrases, characters that are in the clipboard into the documents.
(This command is disabled when no text available in the clipboard.)
Delete (Del)
This command will let user to
delete the text in the document.
Select All (Ctrl + A)
This command will let user to
select all the text in the document.
Insert Date (Ctrl + Alt + D)
This command will insert today's
date into the document.
Insert Time (Ctrl + Alt + T)
This command will insert current
time into the document.
Word Wrap (Ctrl + W)
This command will wrap the words
to fit your screen. (If it is checked, it is word wrapping, otherwise, it is
not word wrapping.)
Set Fonts (Ctrl + Alt + F)
This function uses standard
Fonts Dialog box. It lets user to change the apperance of the fonts, for example,
size, colour, style, etc.
